Setting your profile up for success

Modified on Mon, May 13 at 3:23 PM

  1. 1) Fill out your profile as much as possible (Here’s an example of a good profile

  • A high-resolution company logo is required for every listing.
  • Add service categories. These are industry categories specific to your expertise (e.g., Marketing, legal, IT consulting, etc). Adding these will increase your visibility in the Marketplace.

  • A short description is a high-level elevator pitch that will appear in search results. It’s very eye-catching, so be as clear and concise as possible.
  • A long description should explain everything your company does in detail, including its services.
  • In the pricing section, you can include hourly rates or packages you offer clients. Productizing your service can go a long way toward converting new customers. For example, a video production company might put together a package for three social media videos produced per month for a base package of $1,000. An offer like this is more tangible for a prospective client and will lead to better conversion rates.
  • (Optional) Choosing a “stage” will help you attract a specific audience of software buyers from our SaaS Marketplace.
  • Work location: This is relevant if you want to target specific geographic regions. For example, an event planning company in San Francisco might prefer to attract customers from that region.
  • (Optional) SaaS product categories: This is for service providers that specialize in specific software segments. For example, if you’re a Hubspot Partner, you might set this optional category expertise to Marketing.
  • (Optional) Software product expertise: Some service providers might partner with software brands and assist with Marketing, implementation, and other value-added services. Hubspot is a great example of a company that has many software product partnerships.

  • (Optional) Skills: This section is essential for visibility in the Marketplace. You can choose specific skills your company has, including the specific types of services you provide (E.g., social media marketing on Instagram).

  • ICP (Ideal Customer Profile) Company Size: This will help you attract companies based on their size.

  • ICP Location: You can target specific geographic regions where your services will become more visible.

  • ICP Industry: This will help you target and attract potential clients from specific industries. For instance, if you assist SaaS companies as a Growth Agency, you might want to select “Technology” as your target industry.

  • Product images: Adding images will help “show” your services. Here’s an example of a company that has set up an image on its profile

  • Product video: Add a short explainer video to demonstrate your services since potential clients are much more likely to view a 30-second video than to read through all of your long description sections.
